Our Vision
At RACINGBYRDS, our vision is to provide the next evolution of autocross. We encourage any licensed driver to bring your daily driver, show car, or any registered and insured street legal vehicle to compete in a safe and fun environment where you can push yourself and your car to the limits on a timed autocross course. This is an all Fun, no work event that has something for everyone! This year will include an East Coast 4 event series, a 4 event West Coast series, and a final National Championship event with an East vs West shootout!
The primary focus of the event...
BE SAFE… We will provide you a well-defined course in a closed area where you can experience the Thill of driving your Car to the Limit.
HAVE FUN… We have a family friendly atmosphere full of other people that share the same passion. We encourage passengers and seeing the smile on their faces when the lap is over… PRICELESS
GO FAST… This IS why we are here! You can learn more about safe, performance driving in one day of autocross than you can in years of driving on the street, not to mention driving fast is legal, and encouraged on the autocross course!
Something for everyone...
Whether you are just racing for fun, going for the Fastest lap in the parking lot, or shooting for a top spot in each class; be ready to find some of the most competitive drivers in the nation. Class awards will be given out for SC (Compact cars), GTT (Trucks), GTV (Classic Muscle), GT (Modern Muscle), GTU (Sports Car and Super Car), and the all new GRV (Grassroots Vintage) class. We will be presenting awards to the daily class winners for each day based on your fastest lap of competition, including a few Special Awards for fun; so please stick around for the awards ceremony at the end of each day.
Each day will feature a different course layout and for competitors that complete all runs on both days of the event, you will earn series points based on your overall finish. The top 8 Qualifiers in each class will be determined by combining the average lap time for each day, so every lap counts! The winner may not be the fastest of the day; but the most consistent!
But wait, there's more...
The Optima Pursuit round! The top 8 qualifiers in each class will face off in a no holds barred, arm drop, chase is a race, head-to-head challenge where bonus points will be awarded and the Event Class Champions will be determined. Series Champions will be determined by points scored in your 3 best events. Each class champion will be offered a free entry into the Series National Championship event featuring an East vs West shootout!
